| A company that advances a social mission through entrepreneurial, earned income strategies. It’s about more-than-profit. However, we’re not charging a premium because of this. It’s not a charity. It’s a decision to use some of our success to support the community. We’ve built a sustainable business model that will use a portion of its revenue to re-invest in the Waterloo Region. | Social Innovation
We believe ultimate good in society can be created. We also believe design can create new ways of doing things and contribute to culture. We’re exploring social innovation to see if we can change behaviour and create new resources for the Region’s art and cultural sector. Successful social innovations have three things: durability, impact and scale. |
Why do this? Why bother?
We believe in real and sustainable business practices. This is an experiment, to see what kind of dollars we could generate for social causes. No hand-outs, no funding partners, real business generating social finance for use in the community. |
